Learning Geometry

Today my numeracy class and I started the session off with geometry! We had to make rockets with cubes! We then had to draw a 2D version of our 3D rocket ship! Then we had to draw the side, birds eye view, front and perspective view! We couldn't look at our buildings we just had to draw it! Here are some photo's of me building my rocket ship!

Speech finals

On Friday the 25th of August 2017 Team 5 had finals for people that had good speech's! Through out the past two weeks we have been doing out speech's! My speech was about the time I fell out of the tree! Others were about some funny stuff and some sad stuff! Three people were picked from each class to say their speech in front of the whole of team 5 on Friday last week!  The first person that said their speech was Amelia! Her name was pulled out of the box first! Her speech was about the time her nana was soooo happy to see her every time she did her job at her old school! She was saying that she didn't get why her nana was always happy when she had to do her job which was cleaning the school! Then after a while it came to that point where Amelia told us that her nana died! She then figured out why her nana was always happy! It was because she would always get to see her cheeky little granddaughter! The other speech's were really good but I liked Amelia's speech!!!

Kia orana My name is Aliyah and this is my Online Profile. Today my class and I were making our Online Profiles. What I wrote is what I want to be in 10 years time and other stuff.

Today we did a 12 x 12 maths grid! We had 10 minutes to do it. 

Technological process

Today we were learning about the Technological Process. We made a jelly bean stem structure.
First we did our brainstorm, then research and then our plan and design. When we finished our plan we then created our structure. After creating our structure we then presented it.
Firstly we got given 200 tooth picks and some jellybeans. Then we put the tooth picks into the jellybeans and made our structure. When we tested our structure we thought it was gonna fail, BUT it didn't. The total of books it could hold were 7. We just needed 1 more tooth pick on the side. We also learnt that we need to work as a team and to participate. The team that won was my team. Our structure was the strongest. Our structure was strong because we put 2 tooth picks into 1 jelly bean.






Our plan was on the green paper under neath the jelly beans. Our structure turned out different. It was going to be A small structure but then we thought that it would brake straight away. So we made it wide!!!!!!!!

My Boring Holidays

During the holidays I went out with my cousin. On the second week of the holidays I went to my cousins house for her birthday. She had turned 13. She wanted to spend the day with me and one of her other cousins. We went to rainbows end and the Manukau mall. We stayed at rainbows end for 5 hours. After that we went to the mall and bought some stuff. We bought food and movies. We then got picked up by my aunty. As soon as we arrived at my aunty's house we watched movies and ate.The movies we watched were fate of the furious and 13 Reasons why. I went home the next day because it was my baby brothers birthday. He had turned three. We went out and bought him some toys and food. Then we went home and watched movies. We watched Boss baby and then fate of the furious.
