Butter Butter Butter

Did you know that room 8 made home made butter? We used a pinch of salt and cream, we put in the pinch of salt into the jar with the cream and then we all got into a big circle. Then we all got to shake the jar until the cream was thick and smooth.  When it looked thick and smooth we got split into groups of 4 and then we got a piece of bread and tasted it.

When I tasted the butter, the butter tasted like normal butter but it has a more interesting  tasty. The taste was a yum tangy taste and was Delicious.

That is how you make home made BUTTER!

As soon as the warm milk is brought out of the cows,  the milk gets put in the fridge so that the milk can get cooled. When the milk is cooled then they go into a machine. The milk goes into the machine so the germs can go away.

In a dairy factory the milk gets spinned around on the spinning machine, then the milk and cream are separated. When the milk and cream are separated in the blue bottle the farmers put more cream and in the green bottle they only put a little. When the bottles are filled of milk and a little bit of cream then they are sent to dairies.

Finally the milk is bottled, ready for you to drink. That completes the journey from grass to glass.

Aliyah 3D shape- properties

Through the past of the week I have learnt about 3D shapes. Today I have learnt 3 names of 3D shapes, which are Cubes, Tetrahedron and Pyramids. The D that goes next to the 3 stands for Dimensional shapes, and dimensional means Any one of the three physical or spatial properties of length, area, and volume.

Living on a farm

If I grew up or lived on a farm I would love to milk the cows because I would love to make the milk and drink it to. Whenever lived on a farm I would always be responsible at milking the cows and making it.The reason I would like to be milking the cows is because I would be able to mix milk powder and water together and make milk, and when I finish making it I pour it into the milk container so that the cows can drink it.

My second favourite thing that I would like to do would be giving the cows medicine. If I got to give the cows medicine I would always be there to do that every single day. The reason I would secondly like to give cows medicine is because I wouldn't like the cows to get sores and sick. I really like cows that have nice coloured delightful skin.

My last favourite thing that I would like to do would be riding a horse. I would lastly like to ride a horse because if I got to ride on a horse I would ride through the paddock and on the field. The reason I would like to ride a horse is because it would be fun and a lot of work to push the calves or cows  into the pen.

It has been interesting to learn about what it would be like to live on a dairy farm, all the jobs you get to help with and animals you care for. But living there full time? No thank you. I think I’ll stick to the city, where I live and belong.

In the beginning of the story Kylie sat up listening to a noise that she could here in her room.

In the middle of the story a cat called pudding brang Kylie a duckling and then kylie took it back to a creek.

In the end of the story Pudding  brang back 7 more ducklings.

The blindfold game

‘ GUESS WHAT’ My literacy class and I played a really cool game called the blindfold game. We played this game around 9:30-10:00. The date and the day we played the blindfold game was on 02/06/15, and the day that we played on was Wednesday the second of June 2015.

When the game was going to start miss lavakula called out six people to come and sit on the mat next to the bowl of rice and safety pins in it and be blindfolded to get the game started. The first six people to be blindfolded were “Andrew, Jonathon,Machelle,Tavake,Montel and Alex. The next six people that went up was “ Adrian,Kosini,Aysha,Shenna,Jennifer and Tom.

For the third group of people that went up and played was Revival,Glennis,Wesley,Mystique,Me and Lotu. For the fourth game the people that were playing was Germaine,Isaac,Martin,Daniella,Emmanuel and Dezarae. The fifth game was Flynlay,Amethyst,Siokita,Sabrina and Angelica. But for the last game it was two teachers that are named Miss Williamson and Miss Lavakula. The people that Got the most safety pins are Flynlay and Andrew”.

My literacy class and I played the blindfold game because Miss lavakula said that when we finished playing this game we are all going to write 5 paragraphs of what happened in the game when did it happen, why did we play it, what was it, and how did  we play it. We wrote paragraphs because when we finish writing it we post it on our blog so people around the world can see what we played and what we done and so that they could have a turn at playing it.

My favourite part of this blindfold game is that you get to have fun with your friends and family and you can play with a lot of things like coco pops,rice bubbles,rice,cornflakes and all of the other things you can think of. The thing that we played with that went in the bowl was 20 safety pins and rice.

Winter is here

In Auckland it is winter which means it can get really cold, foggy and “BORING”, Every time it is winter in Auckland most of the shops and grocery stores are always closed because of the weather. Whenever it is winter in Auckland It can get really disturbing and annoying because you cannot do anything but stay home in bed to get warm. Most times it is winter in Auckland the rain can turn into hail, Hail is frozen rain that looks like ice.

What I have learnt about ladybirds is that they can eat 1000 or more aphids a day. There baby looks like a mini aglitter. They eat and kill aphids.

, Tina,Carl,Robbie and QT174. In the community centre there was a Fun sports programme going on. Mum asked if Tina and Carl wanted to go but they said we are all right.
