Niue language week

Image result for niuean language week 2017

This week is Niuean language week. Our Niuean students performed for us for the last day of Niuean Language week. This morning teams five's teacher ( Mrs Tele'a ) told us that back in the 1960's,70's and 80's, Glen Innes was mostly full of Niuean, Pakeha and cook Island people. After awhile samoans and other Pacifica and also maori's had come and joined. Having the privilege to speak other languages is like a treasure because not that much people can speak other languages. Some people can only speak one language, but others can speak more than one. Here are some photos from last year's Niuean group from fiafia.

Our Manaiakalani Film Festival Experiment

Most of last week room 5 and I, and some other classes from team 5 were doing our  Manaiakalani Film. My class and I had to bring a change of clothes in to class to start our film, When we were changed we all went down to Omaru Creek and filmed there. My favorite part of the movie was when I was looking in the bush searching for Rapunzel, The thing that I'm going to aim for next time if I'm in a film festival movie is to try and get into more camera actions, My most challenging moment was trying to climb the rocks and getting up after we had finished filming our scene.

Our Maniakalani film will be released at Hoyts on the big theater screen on a Wednesday morning at 10:00 am or 9:30 and our whole school and all the teachers will be attending this trip and we hope to see more interesting and catching movies good luck to all the teams especially TEAM 5!!

Transformation: Practicing reflection

Question one was pretty hard at the I didn't really get it in the beginning but then I read it again and finally knew what it had actually meant.

However question number 2 was hard because I didn't understand a thing it was it had written for me to read. In the end I had looked at it closely and saw why I got it wrong.

So our walt (we are learning to) is, Walt: rotate, reflect and translate shapes. So that's it and I hoped this has helped you because it has certainly helped me.
