Angle angle angle....

Here is a poster of an Obtuse angel and a reflex angle. These angles may look alike but they are not. In this poster you might be able to find out somethings or maybe 1 thing about the differences about these angles.

2 and 3 dimensional shapes

WALT: Identify and describe the properties of 3D shapes.

In this event I have learnt more about triangles, angles and shapes.

Aliyah Science investigation

WALT:Synthesis information from multiple sources

Science Investigation
Fair Testing
Fill out the following table to help you explain the Growing in the dark: Plants and light experiment

Aim - what are you trying to find out?
Do plants need light to grow?
Hypothesis - what do you think your results will be?
I think plants need light so it can grow as a healthy tree. So the fruit they bear would be healthy
Independent Variable - what variable will you change?
Location, Maybe put three pots  in the cupboard and 3 pots on the windowsill.
Dependent Variable - what variable will you measure?
The height of the plant, Take a look end of the week.
Observing and measuring your ingredients like the soil and the seeds.

Controlled Variable - what variables will you keep the same?
Amount of soil.
Each seeds will have to be the same.
Spraying the planted seeds
The fertilizer has to be the same.

The students of Room 4 wanted to find out what colour of bird feeders birds preferred. FIll our the table below thinking of which variables you would make independent, dependent and controlled.

Aim - what are you trying to find out?
We are finding out what colour of feeders do birds preferred
Hypothesis - what do you think your results will be?
Brown bird feeders
Independent Variable - what variable will you change?
The colours of bird feeders
Dependent Variable - what variable will you measure?
The length of the of the bird feeders.
The amount of food bird inside the bird feeder.
Controlled Variable - what variables will you keep the same?
Location,
The food
The brand of the food because if heaps of birds come and all of the foods gone that means the birds like the food. So it's best to keep the food the same.
The amount
Leuwina and Aliyah are trying to find out what liquid will react the most when we put in the mentos
Aim - what are you trying to find out?
What liquid will react the most when we put in the mentos.
Hypothesis - what do you think your results will be?
An explosion from diet coke
Independent Variable - what variable will you change?
They type of drink,
The flavour of the mentos, to see which mentos will be best.
Dependent Variable - what variable will you measure?
The amount of liquid that you will pour out of the bottle,
Controlled Variable - what variables will you keep the same?
Same type of mentos,
The length of the bottle.
The amount of the mentos
The same amount of fizzy in the bottle
The same bottle
The same brand of the ingredients
