Listening through your teeth

In this presentation i learnt a little bit more about the keys, notes, vibration and tuning that happens with pianos. Some notes can have three strings but the others only have one string.

Technological process

Today we were learning about the Technological Process. We made a jelly bean stem structure.
First we did our brainstorm, then research and then our plan and design. When we finished our plan we then created our structure. After creating our structure we then presented it.
Firstly we got given 200 tooth picks and some jellybeans. Then we put the tooth picks into the jellybeans and made our structure. When we tested our structure we thought it was gonna fail, BUT it didn't. The total of books it could hold were 7. We just needed 1 more tooth pick on the side. We also learnt that we need to work as a team and to participate. The team that won was my team. Our structure was the strongest. Our structure was strong because we put 2 tooth picks into 1 jelly bean.






Our plan was on the green paper under neath the jelly beans. Our structure turned out different. It was going to be A small structure but then we thought that it would brake straight away. So we made it wide!!!!!!!!

What I have learnt about ladybirds is that they can eat 1000 or more aphids a day. There baby looks like a mini aglitter. They eat and kill aphids.

This play is about the robot war. The main thing about this play are the characters. The characters names are mum

, Tina,Carl,Robbie and QT174. In the community centre there was a Fun sports programme going on. Mum asked if Tina and Carl wanted to go but they said we are all right.

Have you ever been on a flying fox. If you don't know what it is then this is what it is.A flying fox is something that could go on a really strong wire and that has a pulley on it that you can hold onto or sit on. A flying fox is really cool and fun because it feels like you are flying.

A bike track

1. What had to be done before Nick and Abby went for their special ride? The fence

2. Explain what a ‘bike track’ is? A bike track is just an empty lane that can be used for bikes.

3. Why did they ride their bikes in single file? Because if they went in different lanes they could lose each other.

4. Explain where their track started and finished? the track started at the house and ended at a grassy hillside.

Have you ever seen a bike track or know what one is. Its really cool because when you go up or down a hill it will feel amazing.)

If you ever go for a bike ride with people then you will have to make sure that you and the other people have to stick together because if yous split up then you will lose eachother.)

If you ever go to your aunties house and there is a bike track near it you could take your bike and go see what is around it.

Year 5 and 6 capm writing

Hi my name is Aliyah and the year 5 and 6 camp started last week on Wednesday. But on Tuesday everyone that was a year 5 and 6 had to put there big and packed bags in the hall. The first thing that the Commitments done on Wednesday was camp cooking. I really loved doing the cookies because when we finished baking them we got to taste one and then when we finished eating one we tasted the mixture and it was delicious.

When we finished making biscuits we had afternoon tea which was the biscuits that we had just made I really loved the cookies we made because they were called anzac cookies. I really wish that I could make them again and eat them again. After we finished having afternoon tea we got to play.

After we finished playing we had to get into our PJ's and then we went to classes 6,7,8,9 and 10 to watch a movie. The movie we watched was the Lego movie. After we finished watching the movie we had to sit near the toilets and then we had to go toilet and for a drink after that we had to go to our tent, ten by step and we had to go to sleep.

Gumboots

I have learnt that every year, at Easter a gumboot festive happens at Taihape.
I have learnt that gumboots are made of rubber gum frog a rubber gum tree.
I have also learnt that the duke of Wellington gumboots were made of leather and then when New Zealand farmers started to wear them they were made from rubber.
